Bio

Caitlin is the Senior Director of Proposal Resources in the Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Miami. In this role, she oversees the university office, is dedicated to providing sophisticated and compelling proposals to secure high-level contributions from individual donors. Caitlin and her team of writers collaborate with fundraising colleagues across the University, faculty, physician-scientists and senior leadership to provide strategic philanthropic design, impact modeling, proposals and vision documents. Caitlin and her team have been integral in the success of the University’s current multi-billion fundraising campaign. 

Caitlin also works with the Proposal Resources team and colleagues across the Division to develop professional trainings and to create additional resources related to general persuasive writing and proposal development. She joined the University of Miami in May 2019 to launch the Office of Proposal Resources, bringing over 25 years of professional writing experience. Most recently, she ran a private consultancy, working with a cross-sector of clients on strategic communications and fundraising projects.

Caitlin is a proud co-founder and member of the executive leadership of the Advancement Strategic Communicators Network. She holds a Master of Arts in creative writing from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a James Michener Fellow, and a degree in English literature from the University of Chicago. She resides in Miami with her wife and teenage daughter.
